In October 2007 it was announced that housing the aquarium association did not fit into the plans for renovation of the nursing home. However, in December 2007 an agreement was concluded and Aquazoo Leerdam could stay in the nursing home. The current Aqua Zoo is operated by Leerdam aquarium society.
